Why the Most Brilliant Recruitment Ideas Aren’t New (They’re Forgotten)
This week in the Holistic Recruiter Club#033
What absolutely glorious weather we have had! 20 degrees no clouds!!! Just finished a 5km run with my wife and writing up this weeks edition listening to this playlist!
So ChatGPT got even more fucking wild! It can now do this when I asked it to promote our next event
and this when I asked it to create a comic strip mocking how others see internal recruitment teams
and this when I asked it to show us what recruitment will look like in 1000 years and he went really wild!
Share your best images from AI and I’ll feature them!
Finally, I have a question for you:-
Oh an My French has know progressed, maybe I will even record a video in French and post it on here, explaining what I do? What do you think, yes or no? I’m heavily leaning to no but I can be persuaded if 10 of you say do it !!
Right, I’m going to write this before I pack for my trip to the Netherlands tomorrow wit the family to see my son!
The Two Tired Dads are Back!!!!!!

Recruitment Campaigns You May Not Have Seen Before
Back in 2007 iPods were one of the hottest things you could buy!
And a CEO from Red 5 Studio sent an iPod to 100 passive candidates to try and attract them to his company.
He was so committed, he recorded a message to each of them personalised based on research he had done on them!
And then why his company was a great place to work and consider jumping ship too!
Plus he decided to add their name by engraving it on the iPod.
Why I liked this is because it was nearly 20 years ago and it was so effective and novel. Like something you would see in Business Development Rather than recruitment.
This was a success as they actually hired someone from this campaign, and they had excellent feedback from other candidates, and it helped put them on the map from an employer branding perspective.
Curiosity is one of the best traits TAs have, in my view
So next week I will be writing about
“How to be a recruitment detective using data”
So lets put this skill to use, Holistic Recruiter Style, and apply it to digging into data to tell the true story and get the bog picture view.
Does any one have a good use case they would like to share and be featured next week?
Let me know and we will get you in the article!
Well, this one took longer than usual to write as I got lost in a rabbit hole creating those comic images haha and I ran out of time as I went to the Netherlands with the Kids for the weekend. If you have gotten this far, I want to share that I am starting to get a lot of traction with the newsletter and am considering sponsoring it. If you know anyone who is looking to sponsor, if you know any companies that are doing this, please tell them to contact me. john@holisticrecruiter.club so I can share some info thanks!
So we have a subscriber who will be featured next week for the How to be a recruitment detective using data. Thank you Leon!
